Since September 2015, every other month at the Firehouse, Words on Fire Poetry Happy Hour features a showcase reading by a poet from our community as well as an open mic. Participants and guests alike are encouraged to mingle, sip, and be inspired.
This month’s happy hour will feature Virginia Poet Laureate Mattie Q. Smith, who will be reading selections during the evening.
Firehouse will have a cash bar serving beer, wine, sodas, and light snacks. The event has a $5 suggested donation.
